Mechanism of Action:

Flucytosine inhibits fungal DNA and RNA synthesis, thereby preventing fungal cell growth and replication. It is often used in combination therapy (e.g., with Amphotericin B) to enhance efficacy and reduce resistance development.

Indications:

CYTOFLU is indicated for the treatment of:

• Cryptococcosis (including cryptococcal meningitis)
• Systemic candidiasis
• Chromoblastomycosis
• Other severe fungal infections caused by susceptible organisms

Dosage and duration of therapy should be determined by a physician based on the severity of infection, patient body weight, and renal function.
