Description/Indications for use
This medicine suppresses the action of enzymes that destroy acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter in the brain. What delays the progression of dementia symptoms, such as memory disorder (memory loss), disorientation (problems with perception of time and place).
It is commonly used to suppress the progression of dementia symptoms in Alzheimer's disease.

Dosage/Method of application
Your dosing schedule should be set by your doctor or healthcare professional.
It is standard for adults to start by taking 3 mg of the active substance once a day for the first 1-2 weeks, and then increase the dosage to 5 mg once a day. In severe dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease, prescribe 5 mg once a day for more than 4 weeks, then increase the daily dose to 10 mg once a day. The dosage may be reduced depending on the age or symptoms of the patient. This drug contains 3 mg of the active ingredient per tablet. Follow the instructions strictly.
This medicine should be used under the supervision of medical professionals or the patient's family.
If you miss a dose, give (take) the dose as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Never give (take) two doses at the same time.
If you accidentally gave (took) a dose exceeding the prescribed one, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop giving this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to inform your doctor and pharmacist:
If you have previously had any allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medications or food.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medications. (Some medications may interact to enhance or weaken the therapeutic effects. Beware of over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements, as well as other prescription medications.)
Precautions when taking this medicine
In patients with dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease, the ability to control mechanisms, for example, driving a car, may decrease. This medicine can cause unconsciousness, dizziness or drowsiness. Do not allow the patient to operate dangerous mechanisms such as driving a car.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itching, loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, and diarrhea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely considered as the initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in parentheses. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and consult your doctor immediately.
pain/soreness in the pit of the stomach, severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood/melena [peptic ulcer, perforation of duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes hepatitis, liver dysfunction, jaundice
slow movements, involuntary movements of the mouth, tongue and limbs, trembling of the limbs, extrapyramidal disorder
