Stimulating metabolism in the central nervous system, nootropic. Improves blood supply to the brain, activates energy processes, increases the respiratory activity of tissues, improves glucose utilization and removal of toxic metabolic products. It improves the dynamics of nervous processes in the brain, increases the productivity of thinking, improves memory, has a moderate psychostimulating, antihypoxic and anticonvulsant effect. It helps to restore speech and motor functions after impaired cerebral circulation. It has a moderate hypotensive effect, reduces the initially elevated blood pressure and the severity of symptoms caused by hypertension (dizziness, insomnia), slightly reduces the heart rate. In patients with diabetes mellitus, it reduces blood glucose levels, and with normal glycemia it often causes hyperglycemia due to glycogenolysis.
