Description
Pharmacological action
Protects against damage to the gastric mucosa by increasing the content of prostoglandin E2, as well as having a cytoprotective effect on the gastric mucosa. It increases the secretion of gastric mucus, stimulates blood flow in the mucous membrane, improves hemodynamics and thereby helps to suppress inflammatory processes and restore the mucous membrane. The drug is intended for the treatment of stomach ulcers, damage to the gastric mucosa (erosion, bleeding, redness, swelling) in acute gastritis, as well as in acute exacerbations of chronic gastritis.
The composition and release form
of the tablet are white (diameter 8.1 mm, thickness 3.4 mm).
Method of application
Your dosage schedule should be prescribed by a doctor or drawn up by a medical professional.
• For stomach ulcers: Adults 1 tablet (100 mg. active substance) 3 times a day in the morning, in the evening and before going to bed.
• In acute gastritis and exacerbations of chronic gastritis (swelling, redness, erosion and bleeding): Adults 1 tablet (100 mg. active substance) 3 times a day.
• Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
• If you missed the set time for taking the drug, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the time of the next appointment according to the plan is already very close, then do not take the forgotten dose, but skip and continue to apply according to the plan. Never take a double dose of the drug at a time.
• If you have taken too much of the drug (more than the prescribed dosage), consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• DO NOT stop taking the medicine without the doctor's instructions.
Warnings
Before using this drug, be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist:
if you have ever experienced allergic reactions (itching, redness, etc.) to any drug.
if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
if you are taking other medications. (Some drugs may interact with each other to enhance or weaken their effectiveness. Including some over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements).
Possible adverse reactions to this drug
The most common reported side effects when using this drug include hypersensitivity symptoms such as rash, itching, drug-induced eczema and urticaria. If any of the listed side effects occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms listed below are very rarely the initial symptoms of likely side effects (indicated in parentheses). If any of the listed side effects occur, stop using the drug and consult your doctor immediately.
cold sweat, low blood pressure, respiratory disorders (shock)
swelling around the eyes and mouth, urticaria, respiratory disorders (anaphylactic reactions)
sore throat, fever, malaise (low number of white blood cells)
nosebleeds, bleeding gums, subcutaneous bleeding in the extremities (low platelet count)
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and mucus (impaired liver function, jaundice)
