The recommended dose for osteoporosis is 5 mg once a year as an intravenous infusion over at least 15 minutes by a healthcare professional. For Paget’s disease, a single 5 mg infusion is usually sufficient; retreatment intervals are set by the physician.
Adequate hydration, calcium and vitamin D intake are recommended before and after the infusion. Administration is performed only in a clinical setting.
