Azyter® is an antibacterial ophthalmic medicinal product formulated as eye drops containing azithromycin. It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections and is supplied in preservative-free single-dose containers.

Active Substance

• Azithromycin (as dihydrate) — 15 mg/g

Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic with activity against a wide range of bacteria responsible for ocular infections.

Indications

Azyter® is used for the treatment of:

• bacterial conjunctivitis
• other superficial bacterial eye infections caused by susceptible organisms

Mode of Action

The product inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, preventing bacterial growth and multiplication, thereby helping to eliminate the infection.

Dosage Form

• Eye drops, solution
• Single-dose (unidose) containers of 0.25 g
• Pack size: 6 single-dose containers
