Description:
Raltegravir Ralmac 400 mg is an antiretroviral medication from the class of HIV-1 integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs), manufactured by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is used in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients.

Raltegravir acts by blocking the HIV integrase enzyme, which the virus needs to insert its genetic material into human DNA. By preventing this critical step, the drug stops viral replication, lowers viral load, and supports immune system recovery.

Dosage Form:

• Strength: 400 mg film-coated tablets
• Packaging: Bottle of 60 tablets
• Route: Oral administration

Indications:

• Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults, adolescents, and children aged 4 weeks and older
• Suitable for both treatment-naive and treatment-experienced patients
